The Butterfly | Post Swap!

Today I'm swapping posts with the lovely Aletheianna Black over at her blog Chosen for Christ! Aletheianna is a talented writer with a beautiful soul, and I'm so excited to be able to do this with her.

Take it away, girl!

We are all butterflies God has created, beautiful, unique, and special.

As we grow, we mature, learn cause and effect, and discover the purpose of our lives.

But there are a lot of people out there, maybe even you, who feel like they’re stuck; stuck in a cocoon. They want to burst out, and show the world who they are, but they can’t.

That’s where bitterness, jealousy, selfishness, anxiety, and depression often take place.

You’ve been in this cocoon, this same place for so long; and you're dying to break out; show your color, your beauty, who God has made you as.

How can you keep waiting? Will you ever get to actually be who you were made to be?

Will you ever be able to become the person God has destined you to become? Can you fulfill your destiny?

The short answer is; Yes, you can.

When we were born, we were pure innocent and beautiful babies.

And then we grow, get older, become mischievous little toddlers.

If you're around toddlers enough, you know they like to get into everything, discover what happens when you pull this, or drop that, and they get very excited about exploring.

Adventurous little ones. I love them! 😂

Then comes the time when we get into our “double digits” and we start the next adventure in our lives. Whether we realize it or not, we’ve begun the journey.

Different people mature at different levels, and it’s always a little different or a lot different depending on the person.

God designed us to have free will, let me rephrase that, since free will is often misused, I’ll say, We have full responsibility for our actions, and he gave us choices.

Depending on the choices we make, we stay in that cocoon for longer, or we just don’t realize where God is telling us to go, because we’re not listening; our selfish desires are speaking louder than the still small voice of God that if we put away distractions we can hear.

In today’s world, most children are given an education with a handful of future options.

A Doctor, Nurse, School Teacher, Physical Therapist, Engineer, Pediatric Physicians, and Pharmacists (and a few more I might have missed.) But life is SO far beyond what job you’ll have. In fact, with today’s technology there are so many options, it’s amazing.

For my future, I plan on being a stay-at-home mom, having a large family, small farm and garden, maybe be a music teacher, be an author of many inspiring books, maybe teach dance lessons, and reach out to people through our/a ministry. (that was VERY summed up)

That doesn’t involve any of the options above, and that in and of itself is a wonderful full and beautiful life!

I see it as watercolor paint, all the blues, pinks, green, yellows, and purples mix together, and when they dry it’s a beautiful work of art.

Obviously, if God tells me He wants me to go live in India (or somewhere else) I will, but to tell the truth, I don’t want to, at least not yet, but God could totally surprise me, and I know he can!

If we think that we’ll always be in that cocoon, then we might never break out.

If we think we’re gonna always be stuck, and just don’t care anymore, perhaps we will be.

But we don’t have to be, so why don’t we start looking a little farther ahead shall we?

You're a caterpillar, you don’t think much of yourself, but you want to live for something.

You’ve been in the cocoon for so long, it feels like you’ll never get out. You're stuck.

Can’t move on, can’t go back, can’t do anything.

But then, then you remember Jerimiah 29:11 EHV “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to give you peace, not disaster, plans to give you hope and a future.”

To give you hope and a future.

There is Hope, you will break out of that cocoon of growth, and burst out with color, beauty, and the glory of the Lord will surround you and all that you do!

Just like a Butterfly.

We must grow, and learn. But there is a new generation coming, this generation is going to be The Overcomers. We are the overcomers, and this cocoon is just part of the whole big picture God has created.

If we keep walking the path God has set before, not straying, but listening to His Words, and putting away all distractions and focus on Him, we will be blessed, and burst out in beautiful and glorious color.

Joshua 1:8This Book of the Law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein. For then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”

Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.”

This cocoon is just about to break! Just hold on a little longer, and you’ll see, just wait, pray, and trust in Jesus!

If you need some prayer, or encouragement please let me know, I’d love to pray for you, and be there! 🙏

Hope this encourages you today! ❤️

God bless you, your day, and your life!

Glory to God,

~Aletheianna~

Aletheianna is a fourteen-year-old farmgirl, a cowgirl at heart. If she’s not cleaning, making food, doing chores, you’ll often find her outside with the animals, writing a song or an idea for her book, or tucked in a corner reading a new book she was recommended. She enjoys writing medieval fantasy stories that impact her readers with hope and courage, writing music that is inspiring and meaningful, dancing for the glory of God, and drawing, sewing, making candles or other crafts when time allows. She wants to glorify God with all her heart and be able to reach others with the same things she’s inspired by.

Catch ya on the flip side!
