What's up, everyone? I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! *Pases out leftovers*
Today, I have something pretty exciting planned: today is the release day for Battling of the Stars by P. D. Atkerson! š„³
The final battle is on the horizon, but the outcome rests on the tip of a blade.
Separated by lightyears, Aidan and Max find themselves at odds with each other as they both fight to bring an end to the war thatās defined both their lives, and finally bring peace to Terra and the rest of the galaxy.
From the Academy to the Ark, every choice theyāve made has led up to this moment. Nothing is as it seems, and nothing will be what it once was. Loyalties will be tested, while the foundation of everything they believed in will be broken.
The cost of war is high; the cost of victory is even higher. No one makes it through without their scars.
I had the pleasure of reading this book early, and boy, did it give me a severe case of hangover. Guys, if you love sci-fi and character-driven books, then check these bad boys out. š„°
In honor of the release day of the very last book in the series (I am severely sad this is ending, yāall), I had the chance to interview our two main characters. Below are the proceedings from said session. Enjoy!

OāBRIAN
What is your full name and rank?
Defender Maximus Tenet OāBrian, but I prefer Max.
How old were you when you joined the war?
I was sixteen when I joined the Academy.
Describe yourself in three words.
Oh, Cyborg! Do I have to? Does āStrong, brave, and handsomeā count?
How would you describe your relationship with your Bondbrother?
Heās my best friend, and honestly? Even though we havenāt known each other for that long, Iād say heās the person Iām closes to in the world. (And other worlds, you know what I mean!)
What is his biggest quirk?
Finding trouble in literally any situation.
What is his biggest fault?
He puts too much pressure on himself.
Describe your Bondbrother in three words.
Smart, sarcastic, andā¦ hurt.
What is your favorite pastime?
Annoying Aidan.
If you could turn back time, how far back would you go? What would you change?
I donāt know. We canāt change the past, we just have to learn to live with it.
What is the one thing that you wished was different about yourself?
That I could be better at what I need to do.
Chocolate or caramel?
Depends if I want to eat it or not.
In your opinion, what kills the most brain cells?
Have you been talking to Aidan? (Did he add this question? Seriously.)
TURNER
What is your full name and rank?
Mentalist Aidan Polaris Turner.
How old were you when you joined the war?
Iām inclined for legal purposes to say thirteen.
Describe yourself in three words.
Smarter than you.
How would you describe your relationship with your Bondbrother?
We just bonded, I hardly think enough timeās past for us to make any assumptions about that.
What is his biggest quirk?
Being idiotically positive.
What is his biggest fault?
Names greatly allude him.
Describe your Bondbrother in three words.
Right now? Iām not sure those kinds of words are allowed.
What is your favorite pastime?
āPastimeā would insinuate that I have time for frivolous things such as hobbies.
If you could turn back time, how far back would you go? What would you change?
An hour, and I wouldnāt let Maximus talk me into doing this.
What is the one thing that you wished was different about yourself?
Sometimes I wish I wasnāt the only person in the Alliance that actually knew how to use their brain.
Chocolate or caramel?
Chocolate.
In your opinion, what kills the most brain cells?
Filling out useless paperwork to make the Alliance feel like itās actually accomplishing something.
Thank you both for your cooperation. Do you have any last questions or comments?
OāBRIAN:
Am I allowed to see my Mentalistās answers?
TURNER:
Stop wasting my time on surveys.
Charming fellows, aren't they? š¤

Happy book birthday, Battling. āØ
P.D. Atkerson is a homeschooled writer, living in Montana, who may or may not be a secret agent. She spends almost as much time in the worlds she creates as she does the real one.
When sheās not reporting the stories of her agents, sheās learning different languages, or traveling to different worlds through the portals of books.
She has a black belt in sarcasm and a masterās degree in useless facts.
Be sure to check out some of Atkerson's other books too!
Are you a P. D. Atkerson fan? Whose answers did you like betterāO'Brian's or Turners? And, the age-old question: chocolate or caramel?? C'mon, answer truthfully now!
Catch ya on the flip side! _ Mac š¤
